Thames Valley Museum Group (TVMG)
The Thames Valley Museums Group (TVMG) represents the interests of all museums in
the Thames Valley sub-region, comprising Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and
Milton Keynes.
Key Aim:
To work in partnership and cooperation for the benefit of the museums, museum users
and potential users in the Thames Valley.
The Steering Group is formed by twelve organisations:
- Banbury Museum
- Buckinghamshire Museums
- Didcot Railway Centre
- Milton Keynes Council
- National Trust Museums (Thames & Solent region)
- Oxford University Museums
- Oxfordshire Museums
- Reading Museum Service (current Chair)
- River and Rowing Museum, Henley
- Stanley Spencer Gallery, Cookham
- University of Reading Museums
- Wycombe Museum

- Partnership marketing schemes
- Hosting a triennial TVMG Conference for key decision makers,
most recently in October 2004 at the Museum of Reading
- Acting as a Thames Valley Steering Group for the South East Museum
