The Abbey Paintings
Dr. Jamieson Boyd Hurry, a local doctor with a particular interest in Reading Abbey,
commissioned these paintings from 1909. All are artistic impressions of important events
in the Abbey's History. You will find them displayed in the Museum:
at the foot of the main staircase, in the Reading: People and Place Gallery, in the Bayeux
Gallery and in the Town Hall.
