Sunday 5 October
To celebrate the launch of the exhibition come and join the football fun! Test yourself on the speed cage, meet players from the Reading team, win prizes donated by RFC, have your face painted, and see star skills demonstrated...

50 Years and Beyond - the Black contribution to British Sport - Black History Month event
Thursday 9 October
Horace Lashley of the University of Reading hosts this panel discussion; guests include Shaka Hislop of Portsmouth FC and Simmone Jacobs, Olympic Sprinter.

Football Crazy for Family Learning Weekend
Sunday 12 October
Enjoy some family learning and find out about careers in football with local hero Lawrie Sanchez and Barry Gordine from RFC.

Premier League Trophy
Saturday 18 October
Marvel at the Premier League Trophy on display for one day only and then have your photo taken with it (please bring your own camera).
10am - 3.30pm. Charge £1 per person

Reading's First Football Match Replayed

Come and see the recreation of the first ever Reading football match - RFC v Reading Grammar School at Kings Meadow.

Cllr Jon Hartley, cultural services chief for Reading Borough Council said: "This exhibition promises a fantastic next three months at the Museum of Reading. Football has been played and supported in Reading more with enormous passion since the formation of the original club 1871, and this exhibition shows just why the fervour has endured."
