Here you can find out about projects where we are seeking comments from the local community. We may also need help, information or objects from local groups and people for displays and exhibitions.

We are currently working on a wide variety of temporary exhibitions where we need help and information from local people, especially objects and photographs for display. You can find out more by clicking on the links on the left.

Reading Museum has a programme of small-scale community displays based in two cases in the Reading People & Place Gallery. Displays are developed with local people and local groups. The themes of recent displays have included Girl Guides and Scouts, Jackson’s department store, speedway, football memorabilia, steel bands and the Reading Festival. If you belong to a group that has a collection of objects that you think would make an interesting display please send us a completed proposal form, available to download below.
