Volunteering at the Museum
Why do we want volunteers?

Sharing experience and skills at a museum event
Volunteers are vital to Reading Museum. They can offer valuable skills, life experience and new perspectives which help the museum complete projects and reach new audiences.
Why should I volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way for people to meet new people, expand a CV or just develop an interest. We are interested in hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about helping the museum.
What would I be doing?
Volunteers make an important contribution to the museum and help us maintain collections, conduct reminiscence tours and attend events on our behalf. All our volunteer roles are advertised so people know from the outset exactly what they will be doing and whether volunteering at Reading Museum is for them.
