Children in a Victorian Christmas session

This session has been designed to support the study of Victorian family life at Christmas.

  • KS1 and KS2
  • November to December only
  • A fun, interactive look at the Victorian origins of Christmas customs, and family life at Christmas
  • The room is specially decorated for Christmas in traditional Victorian style

Objectives:

  • Understand what family life at Christmas was like in the Victorian period
  • Know about the Victorian origins of Christmas trees, cards, stockings, food, Father Christmas and pantomime
