Year 6 Class Tapestry

Year 6 Class Tapestry

We run FREE after school training sessions three times a year on different themes. We take inspiration from the museum's fantastic collection to provide you with a fun learning experience, and an opportunity to learn new techniques that you can use in the classroom.

Here's what one teacher said:

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful workshops you have provided for teachers this year. My colleague was inspired by your workshop on 60s textiles. She used the ideas to make a class tapestry during our Arts week, featuring the painting The Family of Darius before Alexander the Great. The children really enjoyed learning new skills. They were very proud of the result".

Previous sessions have included printmaking, Tudor dance, pre-history and  felt making. If you have any suggestions for future training sessions please let us know.

Booking for training sessions is essential – See our events pages for next date, or email us for more details.
