This session gives children the opportunity to explore history through primary evidence. They will discover how Romans would have lived in the town of Calleva Atrebatum (modern Silchester) and explore the attitudes of the British tribes to the arrival of the Romans. Through this interactive session children will work with and handle real Roman artefacts, dress up in replica costume and take part in role play activities. The sessions takes place in the Museum's Silchester Gallery.
Very informative and the children really enjoyed the session
