Heritage Open Days: Object Handling Talk - Food Through the Ages

Part of our Heritage Open Days programme. A 20-minute talk delivered by our enthusiastic team and an excellent opportunity to handle real objects from our collection to explore the importance of food through history, from Roman Britain to Huntley and Palmers biscuits. 

England’s favourite heritage festival stretches across two weekends in September. The theme this year is Edible England! It's your chance to see hidden places and celebrate our fantastic history and culture. The local programme is co-ordinated by Reading UK CIC. www.heritageopendays.org.uk
