Welcome to Reading Museum based in the Victorian Town Hall right in the centre of town.

Discover our ten hands-on, accessible and family friendly galleries, including our famous Victorian copy of the Bayeux Tapestry, the Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin collection, archaeology from Roman Silchester and Reading Abbey, Reading's natural history, modern art and sculpture, and much more. A short walk away through the Abbey Quarter is the Riverside Museum at Blake's Lock

Don't forget to visit our museum shop and then relax in The Pantry cafe. Please check our opening times page, this includes information about times when Bayeux Gallery is closed.

We suggest a donation of £5 per adult visitor to keep admission free.
