Venue: Bayeux Gallery, Reading Museum
Empress Matilda will be reading stories from our new Stories of Reading Abbey book written by children who took part in our Creative Writing workshop in May 2019.
Join us in the Bayeux Gallery to hear stories about ordinary people who lived their lives in the time of Henry 1. Find out more about Roysia who is having a difficult time getting on with her sisters but saves the day when a fire breaks out and hear the adventures of Beatrice, her husband and his four lazy brothers! We have a host of stories, so come along, set yourself down and listen to our cozy stories with your little ones.
Reading Museum worked with Brighter Futures for Children and Story-teller Cath Edwards to organise a fantastic creative writing workshop. Cath Edwards collected children's work together to create this engaging and richly charactered book.
The Stories of Reading Abbey book will go on sale in the Museum Shop from the first week in December.
