Of all the abstract shapes circles are the most challenging for textile artists and if you can sew a circle you can tackle any shape!
Applique is a way of layering fabric. Join museum sewing team leader, Rebecca James, who will demonstrate a few applique techniques for making a circle. Then have a go at making your own applique circle.
Please bring your own sewing kit. Fabric will be supplied, or you can bring your own if you have a favourite! Suggested fabric quilting cotton or similar.
