What:
A visual art workshop with Afghan artist Fakhira Nezami. Have a go at creating your own miniature painting and illuminated artwork in these brilliant sessions!
Fakhria Nezami is a prominent artist known for her miniature paintings, which have been exhibited in pretentious venues, including the Turquoise Mountain Institute in Kabul, Afghanistan. She has been mentored the institute’s founder, Storai Stanizai, and has received intensive training in her chosen craft. Nezami’s work is a testament to the rich tradition of miniature painting in Afghanistan, which has been practised for centuries and is deeply rooted in the country’s cultural heritage. Her artistry is a reflection of the resilience and creativity of Afghan artisans, who have been preserving and transmitting traditional craft skills for generations.
