Join the Museum team and learn what curators do!
Explore and handle some fascinating old toys and other objects from our Loans Box collection. Learn how to document and store your favourite toys or keepsakes. Make a mini-museum display box to take home with you to store your own special artefacts.
Why not bring a small favourite toy along to the activity to start your collection?
In this session you will:
- Handle old toys and other museum objects
- Learn how to store them safely
- Learn how to document your collection and give them 'accession' numbers
- Take a photo of your toy or special treasure in our photo booth
- Pin your own (pretend) butterfly
- Make a display box/ tray for your special treasures

Aimed at ages 5+, but all welcome. Families

1-hour sessions starting at 10am, 11.15am, 1pm & 2.15pm
