Caribbean Contribution to RAF - Resources box

What:

From October and throughout the academic year 2026-27, Reading schools will have the chance to borrow a brand new resources box developed by BAFA (The Barbados and Friends Association, Reading) with the collaboration of Reading Museum and The Museum of English Rural Life and the support of The Early Charity.

The box was inspired by the beautiful Caribbean Contribution to the Royal Air Force in World War 1 and World War 2 exhibition and it contains objects and other teaching resources to support the study of Black History, Windrush, World War 1 and 2 and local history in the classroom.

Reading schools will be able to book the box for free for 1 week, Monday to Friday, by clicking Book Now and selecting the preferred starting day.

The box will have to be collected from and returned to Reading Museum.
