Until 12 September 2026
Venue: Story of Reading Gallery, Reading Museum
A small display celebrating a 100 years since Reading Football Club's famous FA cup run of 1926/27, featuring rare and unique artefacts and memorabilia. A must for fans of the Royals!
The display includes the rare simulated silver Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin that was inspired by the FA trophy. It was commissioned by the famous Reading biscuit makers in anticipation of a Reading victory at Wembley.
Unfortunately the tin was never put into production as Reading, then known as the 'Biscuit men', were beaten 3-0 in the semi-finals by eventual Cup winners Cardiff City on 26 March 1927.
