Join our free, friendly and fun 6 week writing for wellbeing course, based in Reading Museum and using art and artefacts to unlock creativity.

This is an opportunity to take space for yourself, where your children are also welcome. Come and be surrounded by art, history and hidden stories and try out some creative writing, in the company of other local mums.

This workshop series is being run by Becoming Mums, a Reading-based charity dedicated to perinatal peer support, and the University of Reading, in partnership with Reading Museum.

Who:

When we use the term “mum”, we refer to anyone who identifies as a mother, or as a woman or non-binary parent, whether through pregnancy, birth, adoption, fostering, kinship care, or as a co-mother.

You are welcome however old your children are, but we can only accommodate children under school age in the space.

No creative writing experience or knowledge of art/history needed, and don’t worry about your spelling or punctuation. All you need is a little curiosity and a willingness to give different kinds of writing a try.

Booking:

Free, but booking essential.
