Supported Art Sessions and Object Handling

Tuesday 23 September and 18 November 2025, 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Venue: Reading Museum

This hands-on object handling and art session at the museum is designed for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, offering a creative and engaging experience.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore a range of museum objects, learning about their history and significance through tactile exploration.

Following this, they will take part in a craft activity inspired by the objects, using various materials to create their own unique pieces.

The session encourages creativity, sensory engagement, and a deeper connection to art and history in a supportive, inclusive environment. Participants will leave with a crafted item and a greater appreciation for the objects they’ve explored.
