Over the coming months we are carrying out essential maintenance to Reading Town Hall including Reading Museum.
We will update this page with any closures or changes to access arrangements. Confirmed disruption dates are listed below:
Saturday 18th October
The Museum is open as normal but we will be unable to take card payments due to an essential IT upgrade. The Pantry Café will also be closed all day.
25th December 2025 to 1st January 2026
Reading Museum and Town Hall will be closed as normal over the Christmas and New Year period.
Friday 2nd to Saturday 3rd January 2026
Reading Museum and Town Hall will be open as normal opening hours.
Monday 5th January to Saturday 17th January 2026
Reading Museum, Reading Town Hall and The Pantry café will be closed for essential electrical maintenance. The Museum and café will reopen as normal from Tuesday 20th January 2026.
