Terry Willson (1948-2023) was recognised as a master printmaker after setting up Palm Tree Editions, Camden, in 1978.

One of a series of large and technically brilliant screenprints depicting moments in the lives of urban people.

Willson was a mysterious figure. He was at the heart of the London art scene, but disappeared leaving his studio intact. His whereabouts were apparently unknown for many years. It has been reported that he died in 2023.

Often, the figures in Willson’s prints seem to be waiting, disconnected from their surroundings but present in the atmospheric interiors.
